Bulgaria Climate

Bulgaria features notable diversity both geographically and climatically, from the snow capped peaks of the Rila mountains down to the sunny beaches of the Black Sea coast in the south, where the Mediterranean influence is felt, as it is in the southern parts of Thrace and the valleys of Macedonia.

Generally, Bulgaria has a temperate climate with cool, damp Winters and hot, dry Summers, with moderate humidity, reaching between 30 and 40 degrees in the southern interior areas.

The climate of the coastal regions, where Best of Bulgaria properties are being constructed, has a maritime climate, being mild in the Winter and cooler in the Summer than the interior, with comfortable sea temperatures from June to September between 19'C and 23'C.

The mountainous ski resort areas, over 2000metres above sea level, are cold but crisp, often with clear skies in the Winter and very fresh, warm and exhilarating in the Summer.
In this area our properties presently under construction are popular because of the climate, not too cold and damp and therefore conducive to family holidays, as well as individual skiers.
